Before I started running today, it was drizzling slightly.

The moment I finished running the outdoor portion, the moment i stepped into the sheltered pathway immediately came the heavy downpour.

God's fragrance is sweet!

Hahaha!

My mum came and ask me what's that sweet fragrance that was coming out from the kitchen last night when she was sleeping.

Then I asked her to come to my computer and smell if its the same fragrance.

Now God's sweet fragrance is all over my house!

I thank God for giving me opportunities to share His life-changing touch in my life with Seth and Serene. Indeed what He has given and provided me with is sufficiently abundantly overflowing! Praise God!

Breakthrough at home

There was a breakthrough at home when my parents commented that I've changed.

A few issues was raised:

Dad asking me if I've made any promises to God. Their idea is for me to quietly meditate, achieve enlightenment and not go around asking people for theology and create trouble by upsetting people.

Next is tithing. They told me that it's wrong for me to tithe even when we're financially tight and the person who'll receive the blessing is my uncle and not the tither.

Bao rong xin, love and accept everyone's beliefs and don't go around spreading the gospel.

Lastly, all religion comes from the same God, so everything is the same from their point of view.

The sweet fragrance of the Lord was present during CKRM sunday prayer session.

Wisdom and Peace

Luke 24:25-32

25He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26Did not the Christ^[b] have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" 27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

28As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther. 29But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them.

30When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?"

So the disciples did not recognize Jesus. They had listened to Him all the way about the scriptures when they traveled, yet still at this point, even as Jesus explained they still did not recognize Him. Only after when he broke the bread, gave it to them, then their minds were opened.

1) Something was being transferred from Jesus to the disciples in that action of breaking bread, giving thanks and giving it to them. His wisdom and knowledge was being transferred to them, and on their part they receive it as a revelation.

2) Reliance on God for His wisdom because on our own we will not be able to understand.

Christ by his Spirit works on the minds of men. Even good men need to have their understandings opened.


Luke 24:36-38

36While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." 37They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38He said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?

God's spirit is peace. Many troublesome thoughts which disquiet our minds, rise from mistakes concerning Christ. All the troublesome thoughts which rise in our hearts at any time, are known to the Lord Jesus, and are displeasing to him.

Luke 23

Jesus' Burial

50Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, 51who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea and he was waiting for the kingdom of God. 52Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body. 53Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. 54It was Preparation Day, and the Sabbath was about to begin.

55The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. 56Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment.

Many, though they do not make any show in outward profession, yet, like Joseph of Arimathea, will be far more ready to do real service, when there is occasion, than others who make a greater noise. Christ was buried in haste, because the sabbath drew on. Weeping must not hinder sowing. Though they were in tears for the death of their Lord, yet they must prepare to keep holy the sabbath. When the sabbath draws on, there must be preparation. Our worldly affairs must be so ordered, that they may not hinder us from our sabbath work; and our holy affections so stirred up, that they may carry us on in it. In whatever business we engage, or however our hearts may be affected, let us never fail to get ready for, and to keep holy, the day of sacred rest, which is the Lord's day.
